29.07.202607:37:23UTC+00European Stocks Cautious

European stocks traded cautiously on Wednesday, with the STOXX 50 hovering around the flatline and the STOXX 600 edging up 0.1%. Investors continued to digest a new wave of corporate earnings while a selloff in chipmakers intensified and oil prices rose following another setback in the Middle East.

Among individual names, LVMH extended Tuesday’s gains, climbing 3.2% after reporting broadly in-line sales growth. Eni jumped nearly 4% after raising its 2026 production forecast. Deutsche Bank advanced 4.3% after delivering a 10% increase in profit, defying expectations for a decline, while Porsche added 1.2% after posting a 34% rise in first-half operating profit.

On the downside, ASML Holding fell 2.5%, and Hermès lost 2.8% after its results underwhelmed investors. Danone slipped 3% as its second-quarter sales growth was driven more by higher prices than by volume gains. Investors were also awaiting results from L’Oréal (-0.9%), Airbus (-0.6%), and Intesa Sanpaolo (+0.6%) later in the session.
