European equities edged higher on Tuesday, supported by a solid batch of corporate earnings and a further retreat in energy prices. The Euro STOXX 50 rose 0.2% to 6,294, while the STOXX Europe 600 advanced 0.4% to 647.

Among individual movers, LVMH gained 1% after reporting sales growth broadly in line with expectations. Unilever jumped 8.5% following an upgrade to its full-year sales guidance, and Mercedes-Benz added 2.9% after delivering a profit beat despite a sharp drop in Chinese deliveries. Safran reversed early losses to close 3% higher after releasing its results, and Orange rose 3.1% after lifting its annual profit outlook.

On the downside, Barclays fell 5.6% after publishing its balance sheet.

Globally, technology stocks remained under pressure, as renewed concerns over AI-related spending particularly weighed on semiconductor names. ASML extended its recent slide, losing 3%, following reports that a Chinese state-backed company has begun mass production of certain chipmaking equipment.
